Frequently Asked Questions

  • My schedule is flexible. Whether you're an early bird who loves the sunrise or a night owl who thrives under the stars, I've got you covered.

And hey, if weekends work better, I'm here for you.

Let's find the preferred time that works for you!

  • I'm open to either working in person, or virtually if you prefer (through a HIPPA approved platform to ensure your privacy). It's a flexible way to connect, whether face-to-face or from the comfort of your own space.

  • I want to make therapy as accessible as possible for you, and that includes accepting a variety of insurance plans. These plans often cover a big part of your therapy costs, which can make it much more affordable.

If your insurance plan does not list me as one of their approved providers, don't worry. I can provide you with a "super bill." This handy document allows you to submit your claim for reimbursement when you're seeing a healthcare provider who isn't in your insurance's network. Feel free to contact your insurance company to find out if they allow for out-of-network clinicians if you have any concerns.

I understand that not everyone has insurance or prefers to pay for therapy without involving insurance. In such cases, I offer flexible payment options. You can discuss my fee structure and payment plans before scheduling an appointment to find a solution that suits your budget.

My goal is to ensure that therapy is accessible and hassle-free for you. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions or need assistance with insurance and payment-related matters.

  • If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, I kindly ask for a minimum of 24 hours' notice. This allows us to offer your time slot to another client in need.

If you cancel your appointment with less than 24 hours notice or fail to show up for your scheduled session, a cancellation fee may apply. I understand emergencies happen, so exceptions will be made in certain cases.

You can cancel or reschedule your appointment by calling my office or sending me an email. Please provide your name and appointment details when reaching out.

  • I'm a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, in the state of Massachusetts with License Number 3474.

  • I've learned various approaches to therapy, such as Psychodynamic, Cognitive-Behavioral, Family Systems, Couples, and Narrative. But I don't stick to one method. I adjust how I help depending on what each person needs.

In my view, constantly discussing your problems can make things worse. I believe in actively listening and seeking ways to make you feel better instead.

It's all about finding solutions to improve your well-being.

  • Spouses are welcome! Sometimes my clients also ask to bring in a family member or friend.

  • I've been married to Caroline since 1995. We have three children and live by the ocean in Rockport, Massachusetts. I like jogging, skiing, and lobstering.
